After completing my Masters Degree in Political Science at Leiden University in the Netherlands, I spent 7 years at Shell International in The Hague and London, working in a wide range of international marketing and communications roles. My first contact with Internet business models stems from my last job at Shell, where I was responsible for Marketing and Business Development of various Internet ventures that Shell was exploring. I developed for example the Shell Motorsport portal, which generated huge enthusiasm amongst international motorsport fans. I completed my INSEAD MBA in 2003 and subsequently worked as a Senior Brand Consultant at Interbrand Asia Pacific and as a Regional Business Director at Fallon Asia. In both of these roles I was based in Singapore and travelled and worked extensively throughout the Asia Pacific region.

At Conference Bay I focus mostly on the website development and marketing/PR.

I hold a Masters degree in Financial Business Administration from Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Prior to moving to Singapore and starting up Conference Bay, I was working for a specialized Dutch private equity firm and was responsible for restructuring and optimizing their investments. I managed several companies in different stages of their development. Due to my involvement in strategic as well as operational management of subsidiaries I gathered a broad range of experience in improving a company’s overall performance across various industries.

At Conference Bay my main focus is on business development, finance and legal matters.

Having worked with large multinational corporations in the past like Singapore Airlines, American Express Centurion and Meritus Mandarin Singapore, I find it incredibly exciting to now be part of the Conference Bay family. Coming from a largely hospitality-based background, I find it both a pleasure and a challenge to facilitate the business relationships between our organisers and conference delegates, many of whom I've come to establish a camaraderie and friendship with.

I hold a Bachelor degree in Business Administration concentrating in both Marketing and International Business from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. After spending 1 year in Buffalo, New York, I moved on to spend a substantial amount of time in China at cities like Shenzhen and Beijing to learn and better understand China. Equipped with knowledge, experiences and exposures to multi-cultural setting, I am currently responsible for international market development and PR focusing on the Chinese sector. Fate brought me here at Conference Bay, and I am enjoying my days as I grow with this young and growing company.
