The Annual Queensland Longwall Mining 2008 Summit is returning for its 12 edition at an important time for the industry.
The event is designed to help you troubleshoot and streamline longwall moves, look into roadway development initiatives, discuss approached to tackle geotechnical, strata & operational challenges, gives you insight into dealing with recent flooding and much more.

Held in Mackay this year, the 12th Longwall Mining 2008 will this year be held in Mackay will help you learn how to face the challenges and issues facing the industry and enhance your knowledge on how to tackle various problems.
There will be several outstanding case studies from Peter Van De Ven of Anglo Coal Australia, Greg Shields from Centennial Coal, BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance’s Luke Mahony, Yancoal Australia’s Greig Duncan and Andy Mifflin, from Carborough Downs, Vale.
There will also be a pre-conference workshop entitled Change outs – How to Develop & Streamline in a Systematic Process for Allocating the Right Resources, Avoiding Confusion & Redundancies. This will examine effective methods to reduce the duration of longwall moves, through best practice planning, resorting and supervision.
