Description
The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute 9th International Symposium “Cardiac Arrhythmias – a Challenge for the 21st Century” in conjunction with The 2007 Princesses’ Lecture will build on the strong foundations of previous years by creating an environment of exchange and education about Cardiac Arrhythmias.

The conference is being held in commemoration of the life and work of Doctor Mark Cowley Lidwill, the inventor of the Cardiac Pacemaker. Presenting the 2007 Princesses’ Lecture and 9th International Symposium is an impressive list of national and international speakers.

To celebrate St Vincent's Hospital Sesquicentenary, "Cardiology at the Frontier" will be a two day event presenting cutting edge cardiology in five separate programs:

• Robotic and Hybrid Surgery
• Atrial Fibrillation – a cure in sight?
• Imaging the Heart – now and in the future
• Heart Failure/Transplant – State of the Art
• Interventional Cardiology – devices and valves
